Promotional item with logo: What exactly are promotional items and what's important about them?

Promotional items with a logo increase brand awareness on a long-term basis.

By definition, promotional items or materials are usually advertising media with a logo that brand owners and companies give away to employees, customers or potentially interested parties as a form of self-promotion. The objective here is to position the particular promotional item with logo within the desired target group for as long and as visually as possible in order to increase brand awarenesses and customer loyalty on a long-term basis.

The most well-known and classic promotional items are pens, calendars and keyrings although the range of promotional items with logos is now almost
unlimited. Stationary, textiles, food, household goods, electronic items or personal accessories - from a cheap give-away to a high-quality branded item - when used correctly, almost any item can be a successful promotional item with
logo.

Did you really know just how relevant the topic of "promotional items with logo" is compared to other advertising media and means of communication?

Promotional items with logo - tax-deductible? You can of course set any promotional items against tax.

With promotional items with logos, companies will also need to observe the fiscal regulations, and must not exceed certain limits. Since 2004, a general upper financial limit of EUR 35.00 has applied for promotional items and gifts to customers and potentially interested parties. This maximum limit always relates to the net commodity value, including all logo attachments, enhancements and gift wrapping, but not including any transport packaging and shipping costs.

It is important that the total amount for all contributions to the same recipient and in the same financial year does not exceed this limit, as otherwise the entire amount will not be tax-deductible.

If the annual 35-Euro limit is complied with, the tax allowance still depends on a few additional important factors: All expenses for promotional items with logos or other customer gifts must in general always be accounted for separately and individually on a separate account - without being combined with other business expenses.

If you comply with these regulations and limits, then the costs for your promotional items with logos and your customer gifts can all be set against tax without any problems.
