Promotional materials: Production and social responsibility
Promotional materials - made to order and always produced at carefully selected production sites
A select proportion of our products comes from Europe, although the majority of our promotional materials are made to order in the Far East and then imported.. All products that are not produced in Europe are always produced at carefully selected production sites in the very well developed area of southern China.
Since 2007, our own branch in Hong Kong has primarily been focussing on the procurement, certification and quality checking of all promotional materials produced in the Far East as well as all FOB services. This enables us to have all factories and suppliers involved in the production process regularly visited and inspected by our own employees in order to guarantee that all legal standards are properly complied with for all of our products.
As an active member and as it is an issue we feel passionately about, we have supported the United Nations Global Compact for many years, and continually work on promoting the objectives of the pact and on incorporating these objectives into our day-to-day business processes and the development of our products. We have also sustainably committed to additional national and international industry codes within the sector of promotional materials, such as the GWW Code of Ethics or the EPPA Code of Conduct.
An extract of the standards that apply for us, the Kandinsky Group, as a minimum requirement for all of our promotional materials in relation to our production sites, suppliers and partners:
- No child labour
- Compliance with prescribed minimum wages
- Compliance with all working safety regulations
- Compliance with the statutory public holidays
- No Sunday working
- Freedom of choice of employment
- Appropriate catering
- Access to medical care
- Appropriate accommodation
How do we actually import our promotional materials to Germany?
We usually import most of our non-European-produced promotional materials to Germany via air freight in order to delivery your items as quickly as possible. Thanks to the sensible grouping of our production processes and a fixed weekly air-freight shipment, we are also able to provide our Kandinsky products via air freight at competitive prices.
If your production plans allow, we would also be pleased to import your customised production via sea freight, and will pass the resulting cost savings onto you in full. For reasons of sustainability, we would always recommend that you have your products imported via sea freight if time allows. Sea freight usually extends the delivery time by approx. 4-5 weeks.
In time-critical cases, it is of course also possible to import your promotional materials to Germany via express delivery, which can save between 2 and 5 days compared to the standard air-freight shipping method. Simply get in touch to discuss this with us, and we'll be sure to find the best possible import options for your products and your intended purpose.
Once your products have been imported and have successfully passed our internal quality-assurance checks, we will be happy to send them on to your required addresses anywhere in the world, either by package service or freight forwarding, depending on the type and volume.
